Carol McKenzie Talk Service provides Counselling to Young People, an independent Systemic Family Intervention Services, Specialist (Mental Health) Mentoring and a Keynote Speakers across a range of inspirational themes. The services responds to the emerging number of young people, students with specific additional needs and families experiencing unmet difficulties impacting potential, mental well-being and life chances.
One in eight 5 – 19 year olds experience mental health disorders in the UK. Additionally, statistics reveal waiting times to access mental health services as being extortionate.
Reclaiming social work found that statutory work with children, young people and families in the past has been disjointed. Recommendations for an evidence based therapeutic systemic approach, is an effective way forward.

We provide person-centred short, medium and long term integrative 1-2-1 support for those who may have experienced trauma or struggle to make sense and mange difficult emotions.

Our Positive Minds Positive Families programme, aims to work with young people and families who struggle relationally to cope during the turbulent adolescence years. This unique 8 week programme, is a whole family empowering and strength based approach and will improve understanding, communication, personal and family life.

Our Talk2Grow Mentoring service aims to raise aspirations, equip learners with tools to overcome barriers to academic and personal potential. It is designed to empower pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds to include children looked after.
